Smith’s tools (hammer and pincers). I thought the three things on top could be sparks of fire, Day calls them “nails”. Jackson also calls them nails and because he sees in this panel the crucifixion of Christ, the three nails may be the three nails that fastened Christ on the cross (Cooper follows him therein). That doesn’t explain the hammer and the pinchers though. Or do these tools: “convey a highly heretical narrative, even to this day. Tools used to remove the nails of Christ, a mortal man on earth, a freemason whose body is in the possession of Freemasons to this day”? (Jackson)
